Butcher’s Broom Root

is used in the treatment of hemorrhoids and varicose veins. Since Butcher’s Broom narrows blood vessels, it can relieve the discomfort of circulatory conditions such as chronic venous disorder or CVD (when your leg veins cannot pump enough blood back to your heart) and varicose veins. It also relieves related symptoms such as cramping, itching, numbness, and swelling.

Cascara Sagrada Bark

its name means “sacred covering”, and it is the world’s most intelligent herbal laxative. This is very important because constipation will cause and aggravate many painful symptoms during PMS. It works via the liver and gallbladder and is non-habit-forming. The bitter gall of the gallbladder is the detergent for the colon; Cascara Sagrada simply strengthens the gallbladder. The gallbladder releases the bile through the small intestines and enters the colon, giving the colon its peristalsis action, which begins moving the waste off the colon wall. It may have been years since the colon has had any peristalsis movement; therefore, you may feel some griping when you first start taking Cascara Sagrada, but it will subside shortly.
